Thanks for posting this video. More good news floating about out there. I just met with Darren today and things are moving along in Phoenix. Can't wait to see what this city looks like in another 5 years.

Good catch Ericka - YES! No raised beds! Hard to get that concept across to people here.

A few raised bed problems:
--heats up faster/burns roots in summer
--sheds rainwater and irrigation water instead of retaining it
--salts move through soil to the highest point - in raised beds, this puts damaging salts right at the root zone of your plants.

This is GREAT! Reinforces the need for community. Things do not happen without work, we have to DO IT!
I especially LOVE the fact that the garden beds are not raised-YEAH!
