Here is the result of a few friends and a few hours!
The first bike part flowers started for the fundraiser to submit the plans for this garden project ( yet to be named) to the city!
We will continue to hold open art time to work on this charity project in the weeks ahead watch for new dates... and times...

TAA - DAA!

Hello Friends!
My name is Valerie and...

I asked, and received and want to share! I've recently started a
little volunteer time at Bicycle Saviours the non-profit bicycle co-op
in our neighborhood, I inquired about the side lot behind the
building. I think this is a great space for a community garden.

Attached you will find a flyer and I hope to help start something
great, and fun! As soon as I have a list of interested volunteers, we
can set a first meeting.

Just wanted to check in and see what else AZHS can do to help your community garden get going. Schedule a workday, help with resources, etc. Also wanted to let you know that the local girl scouts apparently are all focusing on a unit called "Sow What" this year and have to do learning and service related to growing food. I'm still trying to make a direct contact to the regional person, but have had two groups contact me directly. Maybe a girl scout troupe is an option for starters? Keep us posted....
