Yep, good, eye, the Tee is there just in case the French drain were to clog and send water up into the gutter (I don't see that happening though). For normal french drain overflow, it goes into a little spillway leading to the mulched basin of the Velvet Mesquite tree.You can just see the spillway in the picture. Man I need to bury that bright orange obnoxious cord! Still looking for time to get ALL the prices together for you guys to look at...just so you know :)
